Shui your family room to welcome you in!

The living/family room is my fave spot in the home because its where we gather with family and friends. Here, we laugh, connect, play games, learn about each other, socialize, invite deep conversations and relax - with the people we love the most!!

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But.... does this space energetically say, "you are welcome here, so come sit down." If your space feels good, your family and friends will gravitate here for some pretty incredible moments together.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Here are some tips to create the energy in your space inviting in the moments that you will treasure forever:

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Set up your space so that all people sitting are facing each other, if possible. This invites unity and welcomes everyone in. This space should should never be too small to comfortably accommodate the entire family.

Lighting is HUGE. The brighter the light the more energy! The living/family room is not a place for dim lighting, To brighten the mood or uplift the atmosphere - increase your wattage or add more lighting. Think of it this way, lamps that aim light down, will lower your energy and lights that aim the light up will uplift your energy!

If space permits, allow openness when you walk in the living/family room. Don’t have the back of the couch in the entranceway of this space. It sends the message that its blocked off or your not allowed in. When you keep the entry way into this space open, it says, "everyone, come on in!"

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Minimize the clutter in this room, as it will allow chi (energy) to flow. Chi that flows well in the home creates a more welcoming space and invites good health. Picture chi as water, Would it flow easily? Or would it be blocked by stuff or clutter?
