When it comes to perfection, what do you think of?
Here is my take on perfection because I am the perfect example of a PERFECTIONIST! Some of the things I do as a perfectionist is use it to stop me from doing things. What I mean by this is that I use it as an excuse... "I will do it when...." "I'm not quite ready...." "I will do it when I lose weight.....". I literally let it stop me from doing so many things, this website and this blog are just two of them. I feel that I have to have everything perfect before I do. I remember thinking this when I was trying to do more vidoes in my private Facebook group. It took me years because I was never ready. "I will do it when I have my make up done, I will do it after I lose 10 pounds, I will do it when I get my roots done...". Does that sound familiar? Ladies, don't let perfection stop you from doing things.... thats not perfection, my lovelies.... those are EXCUSES.
This blog is my perfection project!! I love expressing myself through words, straight from my heart. I started doing some research into blogging and found all these courses, writing programs and websites saying you can't be a blogger without a little bit of this and a little bit of that.... So I let it stop me. I thought, "I better wait till I take a writing course before I do anything like this, I want people to take me seriously." Come on Amy.... seriously? I am writing from my heart, swear words and all, I am saying what I feel and I don't care if it's perfect. I love just showing up regardless of having it all perfect! I am here to inspire, my way, the real way for me and I frigging love just being here and not being perfect! I may have some spelling errors or grammatical errors but I really don't care, it's my MESSAGE that I care about. I want my MESSAGE to get to you! I want to inspire you! So GORGEOUS, let me ask you a question, can you relate?
Now that you are AWARE, you will hear it more and you will be able to over come it, just by hearing it, you can STOP it, you don't have to listen to that voice in your head telling you to wait until..... Here is my new MANTRA: JUST DO IT ANYWAYS!!!! It doesn't have to be perfect, in fact, and I know this for real.... your audience will love you more for being real, honest and raw!!! They will relate to you more, they will say to themselves, "If she can do it, so can I!" You will inspire and show people what is possible and that PERFECTION does not exist. No one is perfect, you will never find the perfect time, you will never have the perfect circumstances. JUST FUCKEN DO IT ANYWAY! I promise, you will LOVE yourself for it!!!
